Methane Capture & Circular Reuse

Disused coal and anthracite sites can release methane, a greenhouse gas significantly more potent than CO₂.

By stabilising and reprocessing fine waste and tailings, MFA reduces disturbance of legacy materials and lowers the risk of uncontrolled emissions.

While MFA does not directly capture methane, treated sites create a more stable and controlled environment, supporting any future independent monitoring or third party methane capture systems.
