Waste Material Collection
Mining fines are recovered directly from existing waste streams such as:
- Tailings storage facilities
- Slurry ponds
- Process plant discharge
- Fines stockpiles
Collection is carried out using conventional site methods including:
- Pumping
- Dredging
- Mechanical excavation
Allowing the material to be gathered without disruption to normal mining operations.
Depending on the source, the recovered fines may contain elevated moisture levels. Where required, the material is allowed to drain naturally or undergo simple mechanical dewatering to achieve a workable condition prior to processing. This preparation stage is typically straightforward and can be integrated into standard site handling practices.
